Thornbury Swing Band
Welcome to the website for the Thornbury Swing Band.
Please browse these pages to find out more about the band and we hope you will want to book us for your events. In the not so distant future, we intend to add some audio and video clips, so you can get a real feel for what we sound like.
None of our band members receive any income for performing. The money we receive is donated to the Thornbury local charity “Hammer Out”. We only retain a small amount of income to buy music, so we can extend the range of our performance.
The Swing Band was formed in 2008 by Richard Gulliver, a local saxophone and clarinet player. Sadly Richard passed away in early 2010, but the band proudly plays on in his memory.

We play a variety of Big Band music from the 1930s to the present day and perform several times a year at local venues. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings 7.30pm-9.45pm . If you are interested please call Luigi on 01454 898441 or Heather on 07977450950.
